For race fans, the events which unfolded at the Grand-Am Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona created a series of questions. In the race, 6 of the 7 Ford powered Daytona Prototypes suffered engine failures relating to the Crankshaft Position sensor. The #10 Suntrust Dallara was the only Ford to finish the race.
For the #58 Brumos and #67 TRG teams, a win at the Grand-Am Rolex 24 hours at Daytona has a deep meaning. They've won one of the top 3 most prestigious races in North American auto racing. However, Daytona isn’t the only track celebrating this win.
Target Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sebates was looking very forward to the 2009 Grand-am Series Rolex 24 hours at Daytona International Speedway, as it meant he could go for an unprecedented 4th Rolex overall win in a row. Just as equally, every other team in the paddock was waiting for the large Rolex clock to start counting down from 24 hours so they could have their chance to dethrone the Ganassi powerhouse.
