
At VIR, Suntrust racing did not have the finish they were looking for after an incident with 3 laps to go, taking a solid top 5 finish to a lackluster 13th place.This week, Angelelli and co-driver Brian Friselle hope to redeem themselves at New Jersey Motorsports Park, where the Suntrust Racing team logged a second place finish in last year's inaugural race at the facility.
Wesley Lane, a crew member for the No. 90 team in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, has been suspended from the next six NASCAR Camping World Truck Series events and all NASCAR activity until July 1 for rule violations at Kansas Speedway.
Lane was found to be in violation of Section 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and Section 3-5 (permitting someone else to use your NASCAR License). Lane has also been placed on NASCAR probation until Dec. 31.
NASCAR Whelen All American Series' third late model feature of the 2009 season at Old Dominion Speedway was a wild one. With rain and lightning in the area, the intensity picked up late,as Adam Brenner stormed to the front of the pack hoping to become the second different winner of the 2009 season.

late model heat 2 - Dave Adams had problems on start, PJ Hatcher ran in to him in turn 1, slid up the track and clipped the Mike Latham.
hobbystock heat 2 - rusty alton got off turn 4 slow, and john latham turns him around. track rules, after looking at videotape replay, that latham could've lifted and penalizes latham to the rear of the pack. both drivers are warned about aggressive driving, and race control watched both cars like a hawk stalking it's prey.

j.t. bowie on pole, lost the lead on lap 3 to kyle vantassel
larry fuchs took the lead before the second caution of the event which came out for john kaln.
ken sleight spun on lap 24 in front of traffic but everyone managed to drive away from the accident, no caution.
ken sleight and josh oliver tangled on lap 28. again both drivers drove away and no caution.
j.t. bowue was black flagged on lap 33, car displaying smok. the 20 car spun on lap 36, again no caution.
9x car tangles witg another car on lap 40, spun and hit the wall but again drove away and we stayed green.
zack mattingly had a problem on lap 43, but drove away, again no caution at potomac.
thomas randall spin and crashed on lap 44, the car would not refire (damaged radiator). caution finally came out after several good attempts to bring out the caution.

richard gwizdale started on the pole and led the first 7 laps
greg gunter started 12th and was battling for the lead by the sixth lap
larry fuchs took the lead on lap 7. gunter got by on lap 10, but richard gwizdale managed to retake the lead on a late charge and won the race, fuchs second and gunter 3rd.

dan arnold started on the pole.
first caution came out on lap 5 for tony quad's spin in turn 4.
second caution came out on laop 8 for wayne taylor.
the best racing of the event was for 7th position between josh harris and jack faulkes
dan arnold won, joey polevoy finished 2nd edging out (3rd place finisher).
late model feature
stevie long started on the pole.
second caution came out when ed pope spun after contact trying to pass kyle lear.
kyle lear challenged for the lead beffore another caution for ed pope.
on lap 21, something broke on stevie long's car allowing kyle lear to drive by for the lead.
sommey lacey took 2nd on lap 23 from mike latham.
wagner edged latham for third coming to the stripe but kyle lear held them all off.
hobbystock feature
hilton pickeral on pole but doon breach took the early lead.
pickeral retook the lead on lap 2.
a three car battle for the lead commenced between alton, john lathaqmmm and pickeral. alton took the lead on lap 8 in turn 2.
pickerall spun on lap 13, handing third to thoms pickeral, jr.
Auto Racing Club of Hagerstown Night at Potomac Speedway featured some of the most memorable moments thus far in the 2009 season in the entire Baltimore-Washington region. Three days of non-stop rain followed by unusually warm air temperatures set up for some lengthy track preparation. Due to the weather, track crews struggled with the surface, especially in the corners. Veteran Potomac Speedway competitor Barry Williams, Sr. described it like “driving on gravel.”
Sean Caisse was victorious for the first time in his short career, winning the ARCA Re/Max Carolina 200 in his sixth career ARCA start. Caisse's win came as a stroke of luck when he was in the right position at the right time when veteran Ken Schrader's luck, and gas tank, came up short. Caisse, who was homeless at this time last year, won in the same car Joey Logano dominated with last year.
Patrick Sheltra finished second, Matt Merrell third, Bryan Silas fourth and Parker Kligerman fifth. Sheltra's second place finish propeled him to the lead in the ARCA Re/Max Series Championship points standings by five points over Parker Kligerman.
Rockingham Speedway is known for timeless memories and classic automobile racing action. Side-by-side finishes had become the norm for The Rock before NASCAR left in 2004. The final race at Rockingham was a photo finish.
For years, the track sat untouched except for testReady ing and film shoots. That was until Andy Hillenburg purchased the speedway for $4 million and revived the speedway for racing to return. Now, it is the premiere circuit for short track racing divisions all over the country.
BREAKING NEWS: Tony Buckler (#20) has hit the Turn 3 wall head-on during the Second Limited Late Model heat at Potomac Speedway. Donnie has walked away from the crash but is visibly shaken, the car is a loss.
SECOND BREAKING NEWS: Reporter Andy Marquis has indicated that there was an accident as the cars came to the checkered flag. J.T. McLanigan (#13m) had led a large portion of the Crate Late Model Feature tonight, however, as he and Joe Warren (#11) came to the checkered Flag, there was contact between the cars. McLanigan spun off of Warren's front bumper, sending him up and over the Jersey Style Retention Barriers, as Warren took the win.
