Johnson races Biffle for the lead in DoverAfter dominating early in the race, Jimmie Johnson was able to charge back from a mistake on pit road to win the Autism Speaks 400 at Dover International Speedway. Johnson led 298 laps in his #48 Lowes Chevy on Sunday.

Reliable sources recently told RacingForTheWin.com the end is near for Mayfield Motorsports.  Mayfield Motorsports reportedly sent all their employees home on Tuesday, and told employees they will not compete at the Autism Speaks 400 at Dover International Speedway.  However, Shana Mayfield and Mayfield Motorsports' GM have both said they will compete at Dover and for the remainder of the season.  RacingForTheWin.com has not recieved any new details regarding these developments.

Larry Fuchs, Kyle Vantassel and John John Hardisty battled for the win in the Strictly Stock Feature.  A lat caution on lap 17 bunched them up and set them up for a 3 lap shootout.   The caution came out when one car (#34) lost a left-front tire.  Hardisty moved in to second, right behind Vantassel.   Hardisty didn’t have anything for Vantassel on the Green/Checkerd finish.  Vantassel scored his second win of the season.

After starting from the pole, Castroneves became only the 6th driver to win the Indy 500 three times. In a tearful celebration, the only words that Castroneves could muster up was "this is incredible." He continued, "you [fans] are what kept me strong".

One of the fastest pro-mod runs ever took place just before a thunderstorm washed out the remainder of the event. Tommy Gray, from Baltimore, ran a 5.903 -- which would've been the fastest run ever in IHRA history if he ran in during the President's Cup Nationals.  That is, according to our records, the third fastest legal pro mod run ever.  It would also be the fastest pro-mod run ever on the American East Coast.  Raymond Commisso's 5.884-second run at Houston Raceway Park earlier this year holds the record for being the fastest pro-mod run ever.

Attrition took it's toll Friday Night at Potomac Speedway.  The races were slowed several times due to some big pileups in the Super Late Model and Street Stock features.  When the dust settled, it was a good night for Darryl Hills as he picked up his first win of the season.
