After a day and a half of rain, the skies cleared over the Auto Club Speedway of Southern California. Kyle Busch took his #51 Toyota to victory lane in the Craftsman Truck Series San Bernadino 200. The trucks packed in together early on, but as soon as he made it to the front of the pack, it was once again the Kyle Busch show. The victory in Fontana comes after a second place finish at Daytona International Speedway last week.  The only driver who was able to challenge Kyle Busch for the win was Todd Bodine, who won at Daytona last weekend.

Kyle Busch felt that this was retribution for 2001, when he was kicked out of the truck race at California Speedway because he was too young. Busch is looking to be ontop of the leader board in all three of NASCAR's top series after this weekend, and can d that with strong showings this weekend.

The race began with the trucks in a tight pack. The first few laps provided exciting, side by side racing. As the race progressed, the lead pack took off in front of the rest of the field, with Busch leading the way.

The first caution came out during the fifth lap when Justin Marks spun his #9 truck on the backstretch, just outside of turn 2. Marks took his truck into the garage where the crew repaired it and brought it back onto the track. The caution brought out by Marks was the only caution that was brought out as a result of an accident.

Mike Skinner had trouble at the beginning of the race, when he thought that the engine was about to let go. Luckily for him, the trouble was only a loose plug wire, which his team was able to reconnect on pit road. Skinner was able to to bring his truck to a 5th place finish.
