Hylton released from hospital after scary Rockingham crash

James Harvey Hylton was released from Moore Health Regional Medical Center in Pinehearst, NC hospital after violent crash at Rockingham.


James Harvey Hylton has been released from Moore Health Regional Medical Center in Pinehearst, NC hospital after violent crash at Rockingham. The wreck took place on lap 148 and involved Hylton and Tony Palumbo. Hylton, 75, was alive and conscious but was transported directly to an area hospital for observation. Palumbo was okay after the collision. Hylton was able to climb out of his car on his own power but complained of an ankle injury.



“In the middle of turn 1, the #1 car tapped my left rear, spun me out and sent me to the bottom of the track,” Tony Palumbo told RacingForTheWin.com. “Meanwhile the 48 car passed up high, and in the middle of the backstretch Brad Smith got in the back of the 48 car.”
